From Broadway to Classical

This month is Classical Music Month and National Broadway Day also falls in September! Much to the delight of Sandy, your Lifestyle Director. Nobody loves Broadway Musicals more than she does and to prove it she will be performing a show on the 18th made up of some of the greatest Broadway Songs of our time, including Chicago, Cats, Les Miserable, Mame, and Dreamgirls just to name a few. For our newer residents here’s a little of Sandy’s background.

Her four-octave voice range helped her win the “Belgium Singing Festival” for Great Britain which led her to perform for Royalty and all over the world in cabaret, theater, on cruise ships and to numerous television appearances including two half hour specials of her own.

In recent years she has performed with The Delray Philharmonic Pops Orchestra, The Hallandale Beach Orchestra, The Coral Springs Pops Orchestra and was the regular soloist with The Magic City Philharmonic Pops Orchestra.

Sandy has a show stopping repertoire that ranges from Broadway to Opera but on the 18th she will be paying tribute to her favorite National Holiday “Broadway Musicals Day” but will surprise you with a little opera as a tribute to Classical month as well.
